Unlock Your Drawing Potential with Perspective
Why Learn Perspective
Perspective affects everything in the world around us. If you try to draw the world without knowing how perspective affects objects, it can be very difficult. By learning perspective, you will be able to analyze the challenges perspective presents and easily find the solutions to draw any scene effectively. Understanding perspective is the path to intermediate and advanced drawing, and it will change how you see and draw the world around you. In this class, we will explore the foundations of perspective to push your drawing skills to the next level.
What You Will Learn
In this class we explore the foundations of perspective to push your drawing skills to the next level. We study concepts of 1 point, 2 point and 3 point perspective. We explore the principles of identifying vanishing points and the horizon line. We continue learning about circles and how perspective affects them so we can draw the more accurately. We also learn to draw basic houses and many other objects using these perspective drawing principles.

Your Instructor, Kevin McCain
As a seasoned educator with over two decade of experience in the visual arts, Kevin McCain has been dedicated to helping students unlock their artistic potential through the principles of linear perspective.
Kevin's passion for linear perspective is rooted in his belief that it is a foundational tool that enables artists to translate three-dimensional space onto a two-dimensional plane accurately. His commitment to this discipline is evident in his personal artwork, which often explores the interplay of depth, shape, and form, all grounded in the technical precision of perspective drawing. As an instructor, he strives to inspire his students with the same enthusiasm that he brings to his own practice, ensuring that each student leaves his course with a solid grasp of perspective techniques and the confidence to apply them in their own artistic endeavors.
